Who should consider Paramount Business Jets?

Consider Paramount when you want to inspect how the charter quote is assembled and compare individual trips with a prepaid relationship. The company identifies itself as an independent broker and markets both on-demand and jet-card services. Those models can suit different flying patterns; neither should be assumed cheaper for every traveler. Paramount Business Jets ↗

An occasional flightStart with an on-demand quote before evaluating a deposit program.
Understand the intermediary’s feeAsk for an itemized operator cost and management charge on the actual proposal.
Repeat flyingCompare an annual set of realistic trips before committing a large balance.
A predictable aircraft experienceInspect the proposed aircraft and substitution terms for each itinerary.

The strongest comparison is a written proposal for a real trip. A transparent fee presentation helps explain a bill, but it does not by itself establish that the operator price or the resulting total is the lowest available.

What are the published jet-card deposits and fees?

Paramount’s current membership page lists four deposit tiers and a management charge with a percentage or minimum amount, whichever is higher. The figures below reproduce the published dollar-denominated examples; confirm the currency and charge basis in the agreement. Paramount Business Jets ↗

TierMinimum depositPublished management charge
Emerald$100,00016% or $1,600, whichever is higher
Gold$250,00014% or $1,400, whichever is higher
Platinum$500,00012% or $1,200, whichever is higher
Black$1,000,00010% or $1,000, whichever is higher

Ask how the minimum is applied to a multi-leg itinerary, a changed booking, or a short flight. A lower percentage at a larger deposit tier is not enough to determine whether the additional commitment makes sense for your expected travel.

What should you check about prepaid funds?

Before funding any charter account, ask for the refund procedure, permitted uses, withdrawal timing, and the terms if your travel pattern changes. Compare those answers with paying for individual flights as you book them.

Paramount advertises refundable deposits and says card funds are held in a separate non-operational bank account. Those are provider statements, not an independent audit or a guarantee against every financial risk. Request the applicable documentation and avoid equating an unused balance refund with free cancellation of a confirmed trip. Paramount Business Jets ↗

  • What is the process and expected timing for returning unused funds?
  • Which charges apply if a booked trip is canceled or shortened?
  • Can another traveler or company use the balance, and on what terms?
  • How are disputed additional charges handled?

For a buyer still learning their annual usage, an on-demand quote provides a useful reference. The prepaid option should offer terms that improve your actual travel decisions, not only a headline percentage discount.

How useful are Paramount’s published route prices?

Published route estimates are useful for opening a budgeting conversation. They do not identify an available aircraft, a confirmed departure window, or the exact contract you will be offered. Our route guides attribute those estimates and separate them from the airport choices we discuss.

For example, our New York–Miami route guide uses a provider-published city-pair reference. If your request is HPN–TMB on a particular holiday weekend, send that exact brief for a quote. Do not treat a broad route table as pricing for every airport in either metropolitan area.

Ask whether the current quote includes positioning, airport charges, taxes, and requested services. If an estimate and a live proposal differ, have the provider explain which aircraft or itinerary assumptions changed.

What are the strengths, limitations, and alternatives?

The published fee structure gives a buyer concrete questions to ask about how the proposal is calculated. The trade-off is the need to evaluate both the underlying flight price and, for cards, a substantial deposit. We have not independently tested savings claims, aircraft availability, or service performance.

Compare Victor for another approach to disclosing the offered flight and Air Charter Service for a different consultant-led booking relationship. Use the same routes and cancellation scenarios for each.

Before accepting any proposal, identify the operating carrier and confirm the named aircraft’s cabin and baggage fit. See our company comparison guide for the broker-versus-operator distinction and the questions that apply across providers.

Frequently asked questions

Does Paramount offer charter without a jet card?

Yes. Its current materials offer on-demand charter alongside the jet-card program. Ask for an individual itinerary quote if you do not want a prepaid account.

What is the published starting jet-card deposit?

The membership page checked September 28, 2026 lists Emerald from $100,000. Confirm the currency, current terms, and charge basis directly before considering a deposit.

Does a lower management percentage guarantee a cheaper flight?

No. Compare the underlying aircraft price, minimum management charge, other costs, and total itinerary. The percentage alone cannot establish the lowest overall price.

Are Paramount’s published route prices live quotes?

No. Treat route tables as dated budgeting references. A current quote must identify the itinerary, offered aircraft, availability, inclusions, and booking terms.
