Dates, venue and event access

The organizer separates invitation-only private days from public days that require a ticket or VIP Card. A charter booking does not supply a preview invitation. Confirm the specific access you hold before selecting the flight dates, and keep any gallery dinners, satellite fairs or private collections on their own invitation list. They are not automatically included with fair admission. Art Basel ↗

Compare the arrival airports

Choose the airport only after the operating carrier has assessed the actual aircraft, passenger load, baggage and flight dates. The published facilities below establish useful starting points; our trip-fit advice is editorial analysis, not confirmation of a parking space or landing permission.

Airport options for Art Basel Miami Beach; confirm current acceptance with the operating carrier.

Build the arrival around your first commitment

For a first appointment on a private day, check that your invitation covers the relevant entry period and arrive with room for a delayed flight. A public-weekend visitor can build a different itinerary from a collector attending early previews. Give the charter coordinator the first fixed commitment and whether your party will arrive together or in stages.

Plan the final transfer

Plan the airport-to-hotel journey separately from the daily Convention Center transfer. Mainland meetings and a Miami Beach hotel can require repeated causeway crossings, so group appointments geographically when possible. Confirm the convention entrance, permitted drop-off and the pickup location after your final evening event instead of promising a fixed door-to-door time.

Give the return flight a workable window

Make the departure window fit the last event you actually plan to attend, including a return to the hotel for luggage. If guests split between dinner and the airport, arrange separate vehicles. For international departures, provide the operator with passenger and document details through its secure process and confirm who is responsible for any additional cargo arrangements.

Compare the complete trip price

Compare parking, crew nights, positioning and car standby for the full Art Week itinerary. An artwork purchase should trigger a separate discussion with the gallery, an art shipper and the aircraft operator about packing, declared value, dimensions and handling. Do not assume a private cabin is insured or configured to carry valuable works as ordinary passenger baggage.

No live aircraft inventory or event-specific charter price is published here. Ask each provider for a written proposal naming the operating carrier, aircraft or agreed substitution terms, included charges, payment schedule and cancellation conditions. Use our charter cost guide to compare the same itinerary.

Send a useful charter brief

Include public or invitation-only access, gallery appointments, hotel, passenger changes, flight baggage and any proposed art shipment with its separate packing requirements.

Add origin airport, local dates and preferred times, passenger count, baggage dimensions, accessibility needs and the flexibility you have on either end. Confirm which airport and handling arrangements are accepted and which remain provisional. Keep event admission, accommodation and transport responsibilities explicit.

Frequently asked questions

Do the 2026 public dates include the Art Basel Miami previews?

No. Public days are December 4–6. Art Basel lists private days on December 2–3 by invitation; the precise entitlement and entry time depend on your access. Confirm that before booking an early arrival.

Does the charter include tickets or event hospitality?

Only if a written, verified package specifically says so. Otherwise, book admission, invitations, accommodation and ground transport separately. Aircraft access does not confer access to a sporting venue, art preview, yacht or private reception.

How early should I request an event charter?

Start when the attendance dates and party size are clear, and ask the provider about the lead time for the specific aircraft, airports and event. A preliminary quote is not a reservation; confirm payment terms, accepted handling arrangements and the change policy before committing.
