What does the Cessna Citation Longitude offer?

Textron provides the cabin, baggage, and range figures used here. The four-passenger basis of the range reference matters: it should not be treated as a promise that every seating position can be occupied while achieving the same distance. Textron Aviation ↗ Textron Aviation ↗

Published range is a planning reference, not a promise for your flight. Passenger and baggage weight, weather, reserves, airports, and the assigned aircraft affect the operator’s flight plan. Maximum seats and maximum range should not be assumed to apply together.

What should you check inside the cabin?

Begin with how the cabin will be used over a longer flight. Ask which seats are suited to working, resting, or eating, and request the layout with the relevant tables or sleeping arrangements shown. “Eight passengers” does not describe eight equivalent personal spaces.

If passengers need to sleep, ask for bed or seat dimensions and the proposed setup for each person. If they need to work, specify connectivity and power requirements. Confirm what happens to those requirements if the operator substitutes an aircraft.

Provide a complete baggage inventory, including any equipment that must remain accessible. Published storage volume helps with an initial comparison but does not tell you whether a particular case fits or whether the planned load works on the longest sector.

Which trips are worth pricing?

We would include a Longitude in a New York–Los Angeles comparison, while requiring confirmation for the complete passenger group. Dallas–Miami offers a shorter brief for assessing whether the extra capability has value for your journey.

For a multi-stop itinerary, ask whether the flight plan changes after passengers or luggage join at a later stop. For a return trip, ask the provider to evaluate the opposite direction independently. Maximum-range figures are not a replacement for the actual schedule and load assessment.

How much does a Cessna Citation Longitude charter cost?

Paramount Business Jets lists approximately $7,000 USD per hour as a Citation Longitude rental reference. This is a provider-published estimate, checked September 28, 2026; it is not a live quote or independent market average. Paramount Business Jets ↗

Ask the quote to state whether it is for a specifically identified Longitude or a broader aircraft category. If you are paying for a particular cabin or nonstop plan, the substitution terms should address those requirements. Compare the trip total after including positioning, minimum time, airport charges, and the service brief.

Which alternatives should you compare?

Compare the Challenger 350 for another super midsize proposal. Compare the Citation Latitude when you want to test whether a different mission envelope could satisfy the same itinerary at a suitable total price.

Latitude and Longitude are different models despite the naming relationship. Keep their specifications separate and ask each provider to explain the practical difference on your route. A category upgrade is useful only when it solves a requirement you actually have.

Frequently asked questions

What is the hourly cost of a Citation Longitude?

PBJ publishes approximately $7,000 per hour, checked September 28, 2026. Request a full trip quote including the actual aircraft, itinerary, and commercial terms. Paramount Business Jets ↗

Does the Longitude have a 3,500 nm range with every seat full?

Do not assume so. Textron’s published reference uses four passengers. A different passenger and baggage load needs an operator-specific flight assessment.

How many people can charter a Citation Longitude?

PBJ’s typical seating reference is eight. Confirm the layout and approved count of the offered aircraft rather than using that example as a universal limit.

Should I choose a Latitude or Longitude?

Ask both providers to price the same complete brief. Compare the passenger and baggage fit, planned stops, cabin arrangement, and total cost; the longer-range option is useful only when it improves the trip you need.
