Other airports to compare near Houston

Compare these airports against the final address, ground transfer and aircraft proposal. Distances are not driving times, and the closest airfield is not necessarily suitable for the flight.

When does Hobby fit a Houston trip?

Start with the hotel, home or meeting address and ask the provider to compare a complete journey through Hobby. If the destination is in the southwest of the Houston area, include Sugar Land in the discussion using our Houston location guide.

The lowest charter price is only one part of the decision. Compare the proposed aircraft, airport handling, car journey and useful arrival time. For a group splitting across several Houston addresses, map the drop-offs before deciding that one airport is convenient for everyone.

Flying private through HOU

Use the FBO confirmed by the operating provider. Million Air Houston lists 7555 Ipswich Road, Houston, TX 77061, and describes conference, business-center, concierge and rental-car services at its Hobby facility. These are facility descriptions, not automatic inclusions in every charter. Million Air ↗

Confirm which services are reserved and who pays for them. If a meeting room would let your party work before a return flight, ask about its availability and cost instead of assuming the published facility list guarantees access.

Send your driver the actual entrance instructions. A map search for Hobby’s commercial terminal is not sufficient for a private departure.

Can you connect with an airline flight?

Yes, but plan the connection as a separate ground and terminal movement. A private arrival at HOU does not place you at an IAH airline gate, and even a same-airport connection needs an agreed transfer and check-in allowance.

  • Identify the airport and terminal on the airline booking.
  • Allow for baggage collection and the transfer from the private facility.
  • Check the airline’s applicable bag-drop and boarding deadlines.
  • Agree what happens if the private flight arrives late.

Do not assume baggage transfers automatically or that the charter agreement protects a separate airline ticket. Ask the providers to explain the arrangements that actually apply.

How should you price the return?

For Dallas–Houston, request a complete same-day or overnight itinerary instead of multiplying a one-way example. Waiting time, aircraft repositioning and a changed departure window can alter the total.

Include all passengers, bags and the last meeting’s expected finish. Ask whether a delay affects the crew or aircraft plan, which charges remain variable and how a replacement airport would change the car arrangements. Use the fees guide when comparing the final proposals.

Connect this airport with your complete itinerary

Start with the Houston location guide to compare this airport with the wider destination. Then use the airport-specific details here when requesting the flight.

For an existing route guide, continue to Dallas–Houston. Each covers the wider city pair; the proposal still needs to identify this airport explicitly.

Frequently asked questions

Is HOU the same as IAH?

No. Houston Hobby and George Bush Intercontinental are different airports. Match the code to each flight and plan any transfer explicitly.

Is Million Air the only possible Hobby facility?

This guide cites Million Air as a verified facility example, not an exclusive airport-wide listing. Your operator must confirm the FBO for your booking.

Does a short Dallas–Houston flight mean a low minimum charge?

Not necessarily. Ask about minimum billable time, positioning and waiting arrangements in the complete quote.

Airport and facility references checked October 8, 2026. This is research-based passenger guidance, not firsthand FBO testing or operational flight advice. Airport comparisons and itinerary checklists are our editorial analysis. The operating carrier must confirm current notices, permissions, airport suitability and handling for the actual flight.
