Which programs are you actually comparing?

Name the product before comparing the price. NetJets Share ownership is a different commitment from a NetJets lease or card, while VistaJet’s Program and VJ25 have their own eligibility and service terms.

How does your flying pattern change the choice?

Build a representative year of trips first. Routes, short-notice needs, seasonality, and cabin size are more revealing than annual hours alone.

  • List regular city pairs, occasional international trips, and the airports you would accept.
  • Separate dates that can move from dates tied to a meeting, event, or family commitment.
  • Record passengers, overnight-flight needs, large bags, pets, and any accessibility requirements.
  • Identify when you need two aircraft at once or more than one cabin category.

Ask both providers to map this same schedule to a named product. For a predominantly regional schedule, examine the applicable service area and short-flight billing. For repeated international travel, examine cross-border access, aircraft options, and how itinerary changes are charged. These are evaluation criteria, not blanket claims that either provider is limited to one geography.

What belongs in the annual cost comparison?

Compare the total commitment under each proposed contract. A headline hourly figure cannot by itself capture a share purchase, lease, prepaid card, or membership.

A contract comparison worksheet; charges differ by product
Cost or conditionQuestion to put in writing
Initial commitmentWhat is paid upfront, and what portion is refundable or recoverable?
Recurring chargesWhich fixed and flight-related amounts apply, and can they change?
Billed timeHow are short flights, taxi time, positioning, and itinerary changes treated?
Unused accessWhat expires, rolls over, or requires renewal?
ExitHow can you terminate, and what happens to a share or unused funds?

Request a worked annual example using your schedule and a second example with fewer trips. This reveals how much of the commitment remains if your travel plans change.

What does an availability promise cover?

An advertised access benefit should be read alongside notice periods, peak dates, service areas, and aircraft-substitution clauses. VistaJet markets defined Program access benefits; the signed agreement determines what applies to you. VistaJet ↗

Have each provider explain a late booking, a peak-period departure, an aircraft problem, and a trip outside the normal service area. Ask who operates the flight and which entity is responsible for fulfilling the agreement. For a smaller or uncertain flying schedule, compare on-demand charter before committing.

Frequently asked questions

Is VistaJet fractional ownership?

VistaJet describes Program as access without aircraft ownership. Compare that membership contract with the exact NetJets product you are considering. VistaJet ↗

Do I have to buy a share to use NetJets?

NetJets lists lease and card options as well as Share ownership. Product eligibility, availability, and commercial terms require a current proposal. NetJets ↗

Which provider is better for international travel?

Compare the proposed service areas, aircraft options, notice requirements, and charges for your actual international schedule. A global brand description alone does not answer that question.
