How do their booking models differ?

Both require you to evaluate the carrier and aircraft behind the proposal. XO’s relationship with the Vista group does not mean every XO booking uses the same fleet or operating entity.

Villiers is our #1 featured affiliate choice. We may earn a commission if you book through our Villiers link. This placement reflects our editorial selection and affiliate relationship; it is not a measured ranking of safety, price, or service. Read the affiliate disclosure.

XO describes access to the Vista Members’ fleet and a wider network. Its U.S. brokerage role and the actual operating carrier should still be identified in your documents. XO ↗

Do you need a membership to book?

XO states that travelers can charter without membership or a long-term commitment. Consider membership only after reviewing the current price, included benefits, eligibility, and any limitations. XO ↗

For an occasional flight, compare straightforward trip proposals first. For a recurring schedule, give XO a realistic annual itinerary and ask it to demonstrate what a membership would change. Compare that with separately quoted Villiers flights using the same travel dates and cabin needs.

Do not count a possible benefit as a saving unless it applies to your actual flights. Include any membership charge, unused balance, restrictions, and alternative booking costs in the comparison. Our jet card and on-demand guide explains how to compare commitments.

How should you compare the quotes?

Use the written trip total and the operational details as the comparison unit. A membership label, app estimate, or fleet photograph does not replace the actual offer.

  • Match the airports, local dates and times, passenger count, baggage, and return schedule.
  • Identify the operating carrier, aircraft category or exact aircraft, and conditions for substitutions.
  • Ask which positioning, handling, taxes, and additional services are included.
  • Compare cancellation deadlines, refund terms, and the cost of changing the itinerary.

Villiers’ terms distinguish its brokerage fee from the operator’s charter fee. Include both in the total instead of comparing a single invoice with an all-in proposal from another provider. Villiers ↗

When does each option belong on your shortlist?

Villiers is a useful starting point for readers exploring our featured broker option. XO belongs on the shortlist when you want to compare its on-demand access and any optional recurring-travel benefits.

Neither is an automatic winner for every route. A proposal that fits your departure window, luggage, and change requirements can be more useful than a general brand preference. Read the Villiers review and XO review for the wider context.

Frequently asked questions

Can I book XO without joining?

XO says membership is not required for on-demand charter. Ask which services and prices apply to your nonmember proposal. XO ↗

Does this comparison cover a shared seat?

It focuses on whole-aircraft charter. If an offer is for an individual seat, verify its route, schedule, baggage allowance, and cancellation terms separately; it is a different purchase.

Will Villiers or XO always have the lower quote?

We have not established a universal price winner. Compare current proposals for the same aircraft requirements and itinerary, including all relevant fees.
