How much does a New York–London private jet cost?
Use published estimates as context, then request an aircraft-specific quote for your dates. The following USD ranges are Paramount Business Jets’ own figures, marked August 2026; they are not an independent market average or a promise of availability. Paramount Business Jets ↗
| Provider category | Published one-way estimate | What still needs confirmation |
|---|---|---|
| Large jets | $95,000–$110,000 | The offered aircraft, cabin layout, included charges, and nonstop plan |
| Ultra-long-range jets | $100,000–$120,000 | The exact aircraft, sleeping arrangement, and complete itinerary total |
Ask for positioning, handling, crew arrangements, applicable taxes, and any itinerary-specific extras in the total. Price the return separately: aircraft location, the travel window, and the number of days away can change the economics. Doubling one published figure does not establish your round-trip price.
Which airports should you compare?
Choose the airport pair around the flight requirements and your addresses at both ends. A city name alone is too broad for a reliable cost or door-to-door comparison.
| Airport option | Planning question |
|---|---|
| Teterboro (TEB), New Jersey | Does the aircraft and airport plan fit the New York ground transfer? |
| Farnborough (FAB), Hampshire | Do the destination address and published operating hours suit the itinerary? |
| London Biggin Hill (BQH) | Do its business aviation facilities and ground journey fit the arrival plan? |
The FAA identifies Teterboro as a New York-area business aviation airport. Farnborough publishes its location and opening times, and Biggin Hill describes its business aviation operations. The operator must confirm the airport pair for the actual aircraft. Federal Aviation Administration ↗ Farnborough Airport ↗ London Biggin Hill Airport ↗
Continue to the Teterboro airport guide, New York guide, and London guide for the ground-arrival details.
Can the aircraft fly nonstop in both directions?
Ask the operator to confirm the nonstop plan separately for each direction with your passengers and baggage. A brochure’s maximum range is not a flight-specific performance assessment.
Request the planned block time, local arrival date, and circumstances that could require a stop. For an overnight journey, ask for the actual sleeping positions, privacy, lavatory arrangement, catering, and connectivity. A cabin advertised for a certain number of seated passengers may offer fewer comfortable sleeping positions.
- Confirm the exact aircraft or agreed substitution standard.
- Check luggage dimensions as well as passenger count.
- Ask whether a cabin attendant and the requested catering are included.
- Build enough flexibility around an important arrival-day meeting.
What travel documents and timing need attention?
Private charter passengers still need the appropriate entry documents. Use the UK government’s nationality-specific checker to establish any visa or electronic travel authorisation requirement; coordinate the flight’s border arrangements with the operator. GOV.UK ↗
For a return to the United States, have the operator explain the applicable arrival processing and permission requirements. CBP publishes guidance for general aviation arrivals. U.S. Customs and Border Protection ↗
Check passenger details early, including minors and travelers with different nationalities. If bringing a dog, use our private pet travel guide before choosing the carrier and arrival airport. Compare all dates and times in the local time zone and confirm the calendar date of arrival.
How should you plan the return flight?
Choose a return structure around the trip rather than assuming the outbound aircraft will wait. Ask the provider to compare the full cost of any stay-with-aircraft arrangement with separately sourced legs.
Have the agreement describe changes, cancellation deadlines, and the consequences of a replacement aircraft or airport. Keep the same passenger load and comfort requirements in both direction requests, then compare providers using our booking checklist.
Compare the aircraft behind the quote
Use the aircraft guides to compare passenger layouts, baggage, and published price references. Ask the operator to assess the actual aircraft for this itinerary and full passenger load.
